Santa Clause is coming to town: Iconic city lights display returns this weekend

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The city is slated to provide details on the opening night of this year’s 40th anniversary Honolulu City Lights celebration at a press conference Tuesday morning.
They’re expected to go over the timing and route of the Public Workers’ Electric Light Parade, details about the mayor’s tree lighting ceremony, and what else the public can expect this year.
In addition, the city said crews will install the 21-foot Shaka Santa and Tutu Mele displays on the fountain.
Honolulu City Lights officially opens to the public on Saturday.
The press conference is schedule for 10 a.m.
